Culinary Academy

WSCC Culinary Academy is an entry level training program. No previous food service experience is necessary.

The eight week course focuses on practical kitchen skills and culinary knowledge.

  • Upon successfully completing The ServSafe Course students will receive the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate.

  • Engaging learning opportunities with in-depth classroom studies and hands on development of basic kitchen skills.

  • Interaction and practical experiences with multiple food service operations within the West Side Catholic Center.

The West Side Catholic Center (WSCC) Culinary Academy was approved as a Registered Pre-Apprenticeship program by ApprenticeOhio, a division of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Registered Pre-Apprenticeship programs provide career pathways and opportunities for people with employment barriers to earn a nationally recognized credential and a full-time job as a Registered Apprentice.
