Drive By Donations for our monthly Food Pantry (05/01/2020):
We are incredibly grateful to our WSCC community for stepping up in an amazing way during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. You have shown us your support by sharing with us your time, your money, and most importantly your friendship.
We invite you to participate in a new way - by sharing your pantry with us so that we can continue ensuring our clients are fed during this pandemic. On May 6th and 7th between 1:00-3:00pm, we invite you to drive by the front of our building and drop your donations in bins that we will line along Lorain Avenue. We are grateful for any non-perishable food items, and are in particular need of:
Canned fruit
Cereals
Pasta (spaghetti, macaroni)
Soups
Tomato sauce
Peanut butter
Canned tuna or chicken
Prepackaged foods (mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac-n-cheese, etc.)
Canned vegetables

Out of an overabundance of caution, and so that we can continue our mission, we will be instituting the following updates to our services in the interest of public health and safety:
Between Monday, March 16th and Saturday, April 4th, all meals served in our Resource Center will be served “to-go.”
We will continue our normal services in small-group or 1-on-1 settings, including but not limited to: our clothing program; shower program; mail services; meetings with social workers, case managers, family coaches and employment specialists; ID Collaborative; and weekly food pantry.
We will continue all existing protocols related to contagions, cleanliness and food handling. Additionally, our facilities will receive professional cleaning until such time as it is deemed to be no longer necessary.
The safety and wellbeing of our volunteers, clients, staff and community remains our top priority, and we will continue to work with, and receive guidance from, the County Office of Homeless Services, as well as city and county health departments.
